Meet Corrie!

Once upon a time Corrie (she/her) was a secret writer who was nervous about speaking in public. Then she was asked to give a speech at a wedding and, with coaching from her actor brother, she not only did it but everyone laughed and cried at all the right places. She has not turned down a chance to speak in public since.

Corrie is deeply passionate about bringing words and imagery to understanding how we move through the world in relationship with each other. As a visual artist, parent, partner and advocate for social justice she spends a lot of her time thinking about how to communicate with care, efficiency and joy.

She has a calming, organized and patient presence with skills in empathy that she hopes will help bring you delight, confidence, ease and a sense of being seen as you celebrate together. And, she especially enjoys celebrating 2SLGBTQIA+ love. Corrie makes her home with her family on Lək̓ʷəŋən land in what is now called Victoria and looks forward to working with you in the honouring of your commitment to each other.

We had Corrie officiate our wedding. She was AMAZING! the personal message she wrote for our ceremony made us cry tears of joy with all the amazing things she said. Corrie was very personable and willing to help us even with our high anxiety levels. I would highly recommend her to anyone I know getting married!!

Corrie married us in Victoria in May. From the very beginning she was an absolute pleasure to work with and was such a calming and gentle presence. She really captured the essence of our story in her ceremony script, and nailed guiding us and our nervous relatives through our rehearsal. We couldn’t have imagined a better officiant.

Had a wonderful experience with Vancouver Officiant, specifically Corrie who officiated our ceremony. We had 2 zoom calls with her prior so we could talk about what we wanted at the ceremony and she made sure to get to know us well enough to make the ceremony tailored to us. We went in with an extremely vague idea of what the ceremony would look like and she helped shape it with suggestions and examples from past ceremonies she had officiated.
